SnagdarPrivacy Policy
Snagdar is a connector that lets an AI assistant such as Meta Muse monitor online stores on your behalf. This policy explains what we store, why, and your choices.
What we store
- Account: a display name and an access token. The token is stored only as a one-way SHA-256 hash; we cannot read it back.
- What you ask us to watch: drop-alert rules (store, keywords, sizes, price ceiling), watched stores, watched retail products and your maximum prices.
- Staged checkouts: the product, size, price and checkout link we prepared for your approval, and whether you approved or declined it.
- Your event feed: drop, restock and high-demand alerts generated for you, kept for 14 days.
- Shared market data (not personal): public product availability and prices observed on stores, demand scores and cached resale prices.
What we don't collect
- No payment details. Snagdar never makes purchases; you pay on the store's own checkout.
- No store or retailer account logins.
- No contacts, location tracking, advertising IDs or cookies. The website sets no cookies.
- Marketplace listings you ask us to evaluate are processed to produce the result and are not saved; only the product-name lookup and its resale price may be cached.
How we use it
Only to provide the service: checking the stores and products you chose, preparing checkouts for your approval, and showing you your alerts. We do not sell or rent your data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it.
Who we share it with
- Stores and retailers: we request public product data from the stores and retail APIs you ask us to watch (for example Shopify storefronts, Best Buy and Walmart). These requests do not include your identity.
- Price data providers: to estimate resale value we send product names (never your identity) to services such as PokeTrace and eBay.
- Hosting: the service runs on Railway, which stores the database on our behalf.
- Your assistant: results go back to the AI assistant you connected (for example Meta Muse), which handles them under its own privacy policy.
- If required by law, we may disclose information in response to valid legal process.
Retention and deletion
Alerts are deleted after 14 days. Everything else is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated rules, watches, checkouts and alerts, email [email protected] and we will do so within 30 days. Revoking your token stops all access immediately.
Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Tokens are hashed, each user can only see their own data, and access can be revoked at any time.
Children
Snagdar is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
